Mansfield CVS leaves iconic building after 40 years

Mansfield Community Voluntary Service (MCVS) are set to leave Community House on 25 November after almost 40 years in the building.

With the building ageing and increasing costs, the community organisation made the tough decision to leave the site and hire office space at the Civic Centre.

MCVS is an infrastructure charity that has been supporting the community and voluntary sector in Mansfield since November 1980. It moved into Community House in 1983 and were gifted the building in 1985.

To mark the end of an era, a celebration lunch is being held on Friday 25 November from 12 – 3pm. Local groups, partners and anyone with memories of Community House are invited to drop in and say goodbye to the building.

MCVS will be in its new home of the Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road, from Monday 28 November and our contact email and telephone will remain the same.
