Volunteer Cooking project Lead

Role Summary

As a volunteer Cooking Project Leader at FoodCycle, you’ll induct volunteers into the kitchen, facilitate the team, create recipe ideas, and lead on the preparation and cooking of the meal. You’ll be protecting the environment through the use of surplus ingredients donated by local businesses, and you’ll help to build a resilient and empowered community through the sharing of delicious food and conversation.

No experience needed, we provide full training and support during sessions. DBS check is required and expenses are reimbursed up to £15. We recommend that our project leaders run a session once a month. Volunteers must be 18+.

Our Sutton-in-Ashfield project runs every Wednesday, with cooking leads starting at 3pm and finishing at 8pm. We are based at The Magdalene Centre, Church Ave, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 2EB.

Our Hucknall project runs every Sunday, with cooking leads starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm, at the Central Methodist Church, Baker Street, Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, NG15 7AS.
