Volunteer Cook

Role Summary

FoodCycle, are looking for Hucknall and Sutton volunteers to help out with their food charity

At FoodCycle, we are looking for cooking volunteers who are enthusiastic about supporting their local community, to work as part of a team of volunteers and cook a three course meal for their local community. In the kitchen you’ll learn some great skills, like how to cater for large numbers and make nutritionally balanced meals, and because you won’t know what your ingredients are before each session, you’ll have a chance to get creative when coming up with every meal.

No experience needed, we provide full training and support during sessions. Expenses are reimbursed up to £15. Volunteers must be 18+.

Our Sutton-in-Ashfield project runs every Wednesday, with cooking volunteers starting at 3pm and finishing at 8pm. We are based at The Magdalene Centre, Church Ave, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 2EB.

Our Hucknall project runs every Sunday, with cooking volunteers starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm, at the Central Methodist Church, Baker Street, Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, NG15 7AS.
