Community groups, CIC’s and faith-based groups can apply for up to £15,000 through the Mansfield Community Grant Fund from today (1 May 2024).

UKSPF Community Fund returns for round 2

Community groups, CIC’s and faith-based groups can apply for up to £15,000 through the Mansfield Community Grant Fund from today (1 May 2024).

Mansfield District Council submitted a UKSPF Investment Plan in 2022, setting out the area’s priorities for spending the town’s allocation of £2.955m.  The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK by investing in communities and places, supporting local businesses, people, and skills.

Through the Fund, the council wants to make it easier for community and voluntary groups to access smaller amounts of funding for projects that will make a difference in their local neighbourhoods. The Mansfield Community Grant Fund will therefore support community-based activity with grants of up to £15,000 for community groups across the district of Mansfield.

Projects will need to align with the following priorities:

  • Pride in place – improving people’s satisfaction with where they live.
  • Enhancing engagement with culture and community activity.
  • Improving health and wellbeing.
  • Tackles issues related to the cost-of-living crisis.

How can you apply?

The council is working in partnership with Mansfield CVS to administer the grants of up to £15,000. It is important to read the guidance before applying. The guidance notes and application form can both be found at www.mansfieldcvs.org/communitygrantfund

Applications can be submitted from 1 May, 2024 and the deadline for the first round of applications is 26 May, 2024 at midnight.

For further information, please email info@mansfieldcvs.org or call 01623 392444.
