Freelance Facilitator

Role Summary

Equation is looking to recruit a team of freelance facilitators to deliver Project CARA (Cautioning against Adult Relationship Abuse) Workshops in Nottinghamshire.

About the role

Equation will receive referrals from Nottinghamshire Police and deliver the workshops, or telephone intervention sessions, mainly on a Saturday.

Essential training and support on how to deliver the workshops and telephone sessions will be provided.

Salary: 

£20 per hour for workshop/telephone intervention session delivery

£12.50 per hour for induction, training and service review meetings

Hours:

Variable on a self-employed basis and as per Service Level Agreements

About Project CARA

Project CARA is an early ‘awareness raising’ intervention targeting domestic abuse offenders who have received a Caution from the Police. Offenders will attend two workshops designed to help them understand what domestic abuse is, its impact and consequences.

Training and Induction requirements following appointment:

  • CARA Core Facilitator Training:

Monday 03/06/24 (evening online)

Tuesday 04/06/24 (evening online)

Wednesday 05/06/24 9:00am-4:30pm (in person)

Thursday 06/06/24 9:00am-4:30pm (in person)

Friday 07/06/24 9:00am-4:30pm (in person)

Venue for in person training: Castle Cavendish Works, Dorking Road, Nottingham, NG7 5PN

  • Various additional online training:

Dates and times to be confirmed but likely to be in July 2024

  • Understanding and Responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse training (book via Equation’s website – expectation to complete within 6 months of appointment)
  • Challenging Domestic Violence training (book via Equation’s website – expectation to complete within 6 months of appointment)
