Volunteer Befrienders (Visiting)
Role Summary
We are recruiting Volunteer Befrienders who can give a minimum of one hour per week, every week (with weekday/daytime availability).
Tasks include
- Visiting older person/s in their home every week
- Providing friendship/Companionship
- Chatting and socialising
If mobility allows:
- Walk with the person in the local community
- Take the person out for a cupp and a chat
- Shop with them (not for them)
- Encourage them to undertake new activities and accompany them on their first visit
