Hub Volunteers

Role Summary

The R.E.A.L Foundation Trust is a Mansfield based charity which supports young, disadvantaged people by providing support and opportunities to develop the skills needed to function in today’s world. All surplus income the Landmark makes is reinvested into the Charity to further support the young people we work with.

We are currently looking to recruit volunteers to help us with running of our new Charity Hub. The Landmark in Pleasley is a community asset which has an emphasis on education and wellbeing. The day-to-day operations include a day nursery, The Cherubs, which runs from 6am till 6pm; an alternative education provider offering Sports and Public Services qualifications from 8.30am till 3.30pm; Sanctuary Fitness and Conditioning which offers personal and group training classes and nutritional advice from 6.30 am until 9.30pm; and there will very soon be an onsite physiotherapy service and a new community coffee lounge offering training opportunities to young people.

These services will all run independently of each other, and each has their own duty manager who has responsibility for a certain part of the building at a certain time.

So what do we need help with?  Where we need support is from 3.30 pm until 9.30pm during weekdays and all-day during weekends and school holiday periods when the alternative education team leave, and that space becomes a bookable space for community users.

We have two bookable spaces, a small sports hall, and a classroom / meeting room / multipurpose space. Although booking for the space will be the responsibility of our Community Liaison Officer, we need volunteers to be onsite while classes and events are taking place to act as caretakers and to provide customer support.
