FREE TRAUMA INFORMED PRACTICE TRAINING

IS YOUR PRACTICE TRAUMA INFORMED?

You may not be aware but tragically, a large proportion of people who access your services every week are survivors of childhood sexual abuse and have experienced horrific trauma in their lives.

Unfortunately, many services are ill-prepared and don’t know what to do and say when a survivor discloses, leaving them feeling anxious, misunderstood and unsupported. And this needs to change.

TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THIS…

THE STARK REALITY:

  • 7.5% of adults aged 16 – 74
    experienced sexual abuse
    before the age of 16.
  • 1 in 4 women have been raped
    or sexually assaulted as an
    adult.
  • 1 in 6 children have been
    sexually abused.
  • 1 in 18 men have been raped or
    sexually assaulted.
  • 70,633 rapes recorded in 2022

Join us! We have secured funding to roll out training to health services, the Police, Health & Wellbeing teams to:

  • Understand these issues, what and why there
    needs to be a change.
  • Hear about the experience of survivors when
    they access statutory services.
  • Work with us to develop your own change plan
to ensure your practice is truly trauma
    informed.

this training will be delivered by qualified S.H.E UK staff and survivors who access our support services. To book your free place on this 3-part workshop, or learn more, contact Tina Sharpe:
