Patient and Public Engagement Committee
Engaging with your NHS: We want to involve you!
There is a lot happening in health and social care in your local community and we would like to provide information to you about how you can be involved.
Patient and Public Engagement Committee (PPEC)
The Patient and Public Engagement Committee (PPEC) ensures that patients and the public are actively involved in the commissioning of local healthcare services and that the patient voice remains at the centre of NHS Mansfield and Ashfield CCG and NHS Newark and Sherwood CCG.
The Chair of the PPEC is a lay member on the joint Governing Body with voting rights and the Vice-Chair is a lay member of the Quality, Risk and Safeguarding Committee. The Terms of Reference for PPEC clearly define its objectives and its ongoing role in the commissioning and monitoring of services for the local population.
PPEC meets monthly to discuss local health issues and as a means to pass on important messages for patients, carers and families. PPEC also has presentations from the CCGs about current and future plans so that the membership can give valuable, direct feedback to the commissioning process.
