
Mansfield Volunteers Recognised at Annual Awards
Volunteers who have made a difference to the communities of the Mansfield District were recognised on Thursday 6th June at the annual Mansfield Volunteer Awards Ceremony.

Mansfield CVS (MCVS) and five partnership organisations have been successful in obtaining funding from Nottinghamshire County Council’s Local Communities Fund.
The Nottinghamshire Together Partnership; a collaboration between Ashfield Voluntary Action, Bassetlaw CVS, Newark & Sherwood CVS, Rural Community Action, Rushcliffe CVS and Mansfield CVS, have received funding up until 2026.

The grant forms part of the Council’s continued commitment to encourage healthy and thriving communities as the county continues its recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. This represents one of the 80 grants awarded to community groups and charities by Nottinghamshire County Council.

Steve said: ‘We are so grateful to Nottinghamshire County Council for award, the pandemic highlighted the strengths of the Voluntary and community sector. Our mission as Nottinghamshire Together Partnership will be ensure that our sector grows, supports and unites the fantastic people in our communities.
As we enter the recovery phase of the pandemic, the importance of the voluntary and community sector has never been higher. We will move forward, pro-actively championing change, innovation and most importantly, the strength of the sector. ‘
