The Seeing Dogs Alliance

Summary

Originally founded in 1979 to provide mobility training and guide dogs, the charity has been in operation only on a limited basis. During 2002, The Seeing Dogs Alliance (registered charity number 1156790) was relaunched with the sole aim of providing an alternative source of dogs to guide blind people. Guide Dog Owners and their families are running the charity. All seeing dogs and seeing dog puppies are being raised and trained whilst living in a home environment. We are a small but growing group of people working hard to provide an alternative assistance dog, to the more well known guide dog charity, in the form of a Seeing Dog. Dedicated to ensure all funds go towards developing and training our pups and dogs you can be sure your donation is spent only on Seeing Dog mobility. Based in Kent we are training and developing our dogs to provide mobility to those who need it most and in some cases those who have been turned down by other charities. We are members of the International Guide Dog Federation and Assistance Dogs UK and are striving to offer a more cost effective and real alternative.
