Big Lottery Funding Surgeries at Mansfield CVS
National Lottery Awards for All offer grants of between £300 and £10,000 to support project and activities that matter to people and communities. Funding can last up to 12 months.
Reaching Communities offers grants from £10,000+ for up to five years. It is interested in supporting organisations with great ideas and that can demonstrate they are people-led, strengths based and connected.
Partnership funding is similar to Reaching Communities but offers funding for more than one organisation who will work in a genuine partnership to deliver a great idea. They will share responsibility and influence with others, have a shared set of goals and values, and achieve their mission by starting with the bigger picture rather than just what their organisation can do on its own.
If you want more information on any of the three above funding streams you can visit the Big Lottery Fund website.

I started working at Mansfield CVS aged just 18, initially as an admin apprentice studying a level 2 NVQ and later progressing to doing a “Higher” apprenticeship (NVQ level 3). It was my first job and when I began working here I had very low self-confidence and no practical work experience at all! Due to the nature of the work, helping other charities in the local area, and the lovely people I work with, I soon discovered I really enjoy working in the charity sector and would be very happy to have a career in it – something I had never considered prior to joining MCVS.
