Submitted by admin on Fri, 22/01/2010 - 14:04.

Small grants can be applied for by registered charities working for the benefit of all older people or survivors of domestic abuse to improve their housing needs and address financial exclusion.

The Nationwide Foundation’s Small Grants Programme makes grants every two months.  Grants of up to £5,000 are available to registered charities with incomes of under £500,000.

Our application process is very simple and we pride ourselves on processing grants quickly.

If you would like to apply for funding and find out more about our criteria, you should visit www.nationwidefoundation.org.uk or email enquiries@nationwidefoundation.org.uk

Britannia Building Society Foundation

Submitted by admin on Mon, 02/11/2009 - 11:40.

The Britannia Building Society Foundation is a registered charity and from January 2008, our yearly contributions to charities are £500,000!

The Foundation offers grants and donations between £1,000 and £25,000 to registered charities and schools working within education, particularly numeracy and/or financial literacy. We believe that community involvement provides us with a significant way of putting our values into practice and of contributing to the communities in which we live and work. I've enclosed a copy of our grants and donations policy for you and if think you know of an organistion that might fit our criteria please feel free to pass it on to them.   Anyone who thinks they may fit our donation criteria can contact me on this email address or at the address on the back of the document.

We welcome applications from:

Registered Charities and Schools: Any registered charity or school working within our key priorities and operating in an area where we have a high density of members. National Charities: Any national charity working within our key priorities that can ring fence their activities to a local community where we have a high density of members. Note: The Foundation prefers buying specific items of equipment but in some circumstances will consider capital expenditure and salary costs.

BIG response to recession

Submitted by admin on Mon, 06/07/2009 - 13:52.
It has just been announced that BIG is to pump a multi-million pound package of funding into communities to help them cope with the effects of the recession. An additional £43 million is to be invested across the UK, and we are working closely with stakeholders to work out what form the support will take.
More details to follow.
